Don't Assume Someone Else Will Do It

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

It is easy to read an appeal and think:

“Someone will help.”

Someone will donate.

Someone with more money will step forward.

Someone will make sure those children get what they need.

But what if everyone thinks the same thing?

Change begins when someone stops waiting for “someone else” and decides:

“Today, that someone can be me.”

A donor did exactly that by contributing $25 to our campaign.

They did not wait for the problem to disappear.

They simply gave what they could.

Now we are asking others to join them.

Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, GoGreen aims to support 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State.

Five hundred children need a community of people willing to believe that education remains important even during crisis.

We don't expect one donor to do everything.

But we do need many donors willing to do something.

Perhaps today, your something is $10.

Perhaps it is $25.

Perhaps you can contribute more.

Perhaps you can donate and then share this campaign with five friends.

Whatever you choose, don't underestimate the importance of participating.

Because the person you assume will help may be assuming the same thing about you.

Don't wait for someone else.

Be someone.

Be someone who acted.

Be someone who cared.

Be someone who helped keep education within reach for a vulnerable child.

Donate today.
