A Generation We Cannot Afford to Lose

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

When large numbers of children are excluded from education, the consequences do not stop with those children.

Families feel them.

Communities feel them.

And eventually, entire societies feel them.

Children growing up today will become tomorrow's workers, entrepreneurs, parents, professionals, community leaders, and peacebuilders.

What happens to their education today will help shape the communities we inherit tomorrow.

Conflict and displacement threaten to push vulnerable children further to the margins.

If educational disruption becomes prolonged, the consequences can extend far beyond missed lessons. Children may face greater exposure to poverty, child labour, exploitation, and other forms of vulnerability.

This is why investing in their education is not charity alone.

It is an investment in human potential and community resilience.

Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, GoGreen aims to support 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State.

Five hundred children will not solve Nigeria's entire education challenge.

But for those 500 children, the opportunity can be transformative.

And every large transformation begins somewhere.

With one community.

One classroom.

One family.

One child.

One donor deciding that the future is worth investing in.

We cannot afford to look back years from now and realize that children who could have become part of the solution were left without an opportunity to learn.

This generation has enormous potential. Let's not allow conflict to waste it.

Invest in a child's education today.

Because the future we want will be built by the children we choose to invest in now.
