Education Is Humanitarian Support Too

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

When families are displaced by conflict, we immediately understand the need for food.

We understand the need for shelter.

We understand the need for clothing, healthcare, and protection.

But there is another need that can quietly disappear during emergencies:

Education.

For a child, education is not something that should matter only after every other problem has been solved.

Learning provides routine when life has been disrupted.

School can provide structure when everything around a child feels uncertain.

Teachers and peers can create important networks of support.

And education helps preserve something conflict can easily destroy: belief in the future.

That is why GoGreen sees educational support as an important part of helping conflict-affected children recover and build resilience.

Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, we aim to support 500 vulnerable children in Nasarawa State with essential educational assistance, psychosocial support, and appropriate child protection referrals.

Food helps a child through today.

Shelter provides a place to sleep tonight.

Education helps prepare that child for tomorrow.

Humanitarian response should not only help children survive difficult circumstances. Wherever possible, it should also help preserve their opportunities beyond the crisis.

Your donation can help us do both.

Help a child recover.

Help a child learn.

Help a child continue building a future even while their family rebuilds their life.

Because education is not an optional extra in a child's recovery. It is part of giving them a future worth recovering for.
