Somewhere, There Is an Empty Desk

By JACKSON AMEH | Project Leader

Somewhere in a classroom, there is a desk that could be occupied by a child eager to learn.

But that child is not there.

Not because they dislike school.

Not because they lack ambition.

Not because they have nothing to contribute.

They may simply have been displaced by conflict and their family can no longer afford what is required to keep them learning.

While other children open their books and listen to their teachers, a vulnerable child may be spending another day outside the education system.

Another lesson missed.

Another opportunity delayed.

Another day when the distance between them and their peers grows wider.

GoGreen believes that empty desk can tell a different story.

Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, we aim to help 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State access education.

Your support can contribute toward enrollment assistance, learning materials, uniforms, school supplies, psychosocial support, and child protection referrals.

Imagine transforming an empty desk into a place of possibility.

Imagine a child sitting there with a notebook open, raising their hand to answer a question.

Imagine that child completing another term, another year, and eventually an education that creates opportunities no one can yet predict.

That is what your donation can help make possible.

There are many empty desks.

We may not fill them all today.

But together, we can help fill one more.

And then another.

Help us turn an empty desk into a child's opportunity. Donate today.
