A child who is out of school today should never be counted out of tomorrow.
Their education may have been interrupted.
Their family may have been displaced.
Their circumstances may be difficult.
But none of these things tells us what that child is capable of becoming.
Circumstance is not potential.
Across conflict-affected communities, there are children whose abilities remain untouched by the crises surrounding them. They are curious. Intelligent. Creative. Determined.
What they need is an opportunity.
Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, GoGreen wants to give 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State that opportunity.
With donor support, we can help remove practical barriers to education by providing essential learning materials, uniforms, school-related assistance, psychosocial support, and connections to protection services where needed.
Perhaps we cannot predict what each child will become.
But that is exactly why we should never give up on them.
One may become a doctor.
Another may become a teacher.
Another may build a business.
Another may become a leader who helps prevent the conflicts that displaced families like theirs.
Their potential is still being written.
Please don't count them out.
