She was the founder of the foundation and chair of the board of our partner organization Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. But above all, she was a very special person who inspired so many people because of her incredible resilience to her own blows of fate and her practiced empathy. She took initiative, actively helped, cared, didn't look the other way and therefore made the world a little bit better.
It was probably the combination of these two qualities in her – resilience and empathy – that were the trigger for founding the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation to help young people and their families to process the loss of a loved one and to re-find stability in life.
We will miss Martina very much and wish her husband and daughter much strength during this difficult time.
