Dear supporter

Thank you for continuing to support us in our mission of changing and improving Chilean education. In the past few months we have had great landmarks and definitions.

The first (and most important) was the presentation of our Roadmap (2013-2020): “The Educational Reform that Chile needs”, that presents proposals and goals in subjects ranging from preschool, school, higher and adult education. Another highlight was the presentation of the documentary "Trabajo pa’ la casa" which tells the story of 4 working children studying in public schools in Chile. Here we show how principals and teachers can encourage these teenagers to finish their education and prevent them from dropping out of school. You can see it in http://trabajopalacasa.cl/pelicula/

In our search to make simple and relevant information available to the public, we created the space "Education made easy", where we include infographics and summaries of education in Chile. For instance, you can access a full presentation of higher education in Chile in http://ow.ly/nVGYd. Finally, we held a grassroots advocacy campaign called "10 questions on education for presidential candidates", where we encouraged citizens to ask the presidential candidates about their education proposals. Thanks to your contribution, this year 2013 we will continue to work harder than ever for the Chilean education. The urgency of executing definitive changes in our educational system is rising by the day. So in the coming months, we will present our 2014-2020 Chilean Education Roadmap to all education stakeholders, with proposals to improve quality, equity and inclusion in early childhood education, school and higher education.

1) Coverage: with emphasis on early childhood education and preventing school dropout.

3) Fairness: We want all children and young people of Chile to have access to quality education, at all levels.

4) Inclusion: integration is an ethical issue, but it is also essential to have a real quality education.

5) Public Education: It must be a project of the nation. Our emphasis will be on strengthening public school education and technical training.

Each of these principles and goals will be reflected in the 2014-2020 Chilean Education Roadmap that will be launched and shared with you soon.
