Dear Friends,
Thank you for continuing to help us in our mission to propose improvements for education in Chile.
The last few months we have focused on the campaign "Vocational Education Now! " This initiative seeks to relieve the mission and importance of vocational education in our country. In the context of this campaign we have organized several activities, among which we can mention the "Towards a new Vocational Education in Chile " seminar (you can see the photos on our facebook page http://ow.ly/qDejg) where we heard the views about vocational education of the Minister of Education, the chairmen of the Senate’s education committee, the president of the Teachers’ Union, the president of the Confederation of Workers, and the Vice President of the Council of Rectors.
Two days after the seminar we launched http://www.educaciontecnicaahora.cl, a website that allows you to review the positions of the presidential candidates about vocational education, its history in Chile and documents of interest. In this website you can also sign a petition to call on the authorities to take care of the issue. So far we have over 3,500 signatures, and we are confident that we will meet the goal of 5,000 signers we set.
Soon we will have a video of the seminar’s highlights and also a viral video with testimonials from different people who studied in Technical Education. All this has been accompanied by interviews on television, radio and newspapers, which allowed us to position ourselves as a reference on the subject.
Thank you very much for being there, we invite you to visit www.educacion2020.cl and learn about everything that is happening in education in Chile.
Greetings!
The Educación 2020 Staff
