Introduction

The “Establishment of Animal Sanctuary in Quetta” project was initiated by the Balochistan Rural Development Program (BRDP) to respond to a long-standing gap in animal welfare services. In Quetta and across much of Balochistan, there are no formal shelters, rescue facilities, or rehabilitation systems for stray, abandoned, and injured animals. Our vision is to establish the first-ever dedicated animal sanctuary in the province a safe, compassionate, and sustainable refuge where vulnerable animals can receive food, shelter, medical care, and dignity.

Current Progress

Since launching on the GlobalGiving platform, BRDP has successfully raised $1,850 through the generosity of donors who believe in this cause. These funds are secured in BRDP’s official account and earmarked for the implementation of this sanctuary.

While this amount is still modest compared to our overall goal of $273,430, it represents a critical beginning and shows that compassion for animals in Balochistan is steadily gaining recognition and support.

Next Steps

As we work toward scaling up this ambitious project, BRDP will prioritize the following steps once additional funds are mobilized:
