Thanks to your support, we are now able to provide stable housing and financial support for 45 Palestinian families who have been displaced to the greater Cairo area. The families range in size from 1-16 people. Additionally, we give monthly aid to 85 families in the form of groceries, diapers, formula, medications, medical care, household needs, and educational fees. Out of respect for their privacy, we do not take or share photos of the families.
Examples of support we’ve been able to provide recently:
University fees for a 20-year old medical student who was almost prevented from taking her exams
A full course of cancer treatment for 3 patients
A motorized wheelchair for a young man who has severe leg and head injuries from a bombing
A surgery for a young female doctor who was shot in the eye
A hysterectomy for a woman with uterine cancer
A flight for a medical student who received a full-scholarship to continue his studies abroad
Wheelchairs and medical braces for 5 patients
As it is the month of Ramadan, we organized a bulk order of food kits (containing rice, pasta, sugar, tea, salt, oil, lentils, beans, dates, and orzo). We successfully distributed 410 kits to Palestinian families all over Egypt. We also obtained and delivered 150 hot meals for Iftar to Palestinian families housed in an apartment building in Faisal.
