This projects provides crucial and tailor made support to Taiwanese youth from orphanages and indigenous areas with essential real life skill training, confidence building, and vocational learning and tools required such as English. Sponsors youth on paid apprenticeship to hone their skills that better readies them for school and workplace. We are also able to connect with youth by giving access to pop and cultural events to socialize and network, gain understanding of various career paths.
Taiwan lacks an organization that provides dedicated and tailor made support to teenage youth from orphanages and indigenous areas with essential real life skill training and vocational learning. Once these at-risk youths reach the age of 18 they are on their own; most of the youth have never had access to numerous resources or guidance and thus lack self-confidence in their ability to achieve success in life.
Brighter Futures Initiative first promotes work-centric creative education giving youth access to tutoring and mentorship. The second sponsors paid youth apprenticeships at our HQ with a 4 mentor to 1 youth ratio over a 3 month period. This includes workplace communication, basic financial literacy, read and writing comprehension, basic website building for their cause of choice, and powerpoint presentation skills. This provides them with confidence and actual skills for success in the future.
By our continuation in providing a well rounded support system for our youth will result in a compassionate person who is independent, confident, financially stable, with a can do attitude with ability to find solutions that positively impact the society and the earth. Brighter Futures also focuses on wellness, compassion, and kindness to not only others and the planet, and to themselves. We also hope to partner with suitable companies regarding job placement for our youth and adults.
