Producing food is important, but helping families understand how to use surplus production can create another level of impact. F SSIBU Mission Foundation is teaching families how agricultural production can contribute not only to household consumption but also to income generation.
Families learn to plan their gardens according to household needs and available market opportunities. Training covers crop selection, planting schedules, harvesting, basic record keeping, storage, and responsible marketing of surplus produce.
Girls are encouraged to participate so they can understand the connection between farming and entrepreneurship. A young girl who learns how to calculate basic costs, track production, and think about markets gains knowledge that can be valuable beyond agriculture.
We also encourage complementary activities such as poultry farming, allowing families to diversify their sources of food and income.
Donor support can help us provide improved seeds, training, demonstration plots, tools, and entrepreneurship mentorship. These resources can help families move from simply growing crops to thinking strategically about their agricultural activities.
For families caring for vulnerable children, additional income can make a meaningful difference. It can contribute toward school materials, food, clothing, healthcare, and other household necessities.
Our goal is to help families build livelihoods that are productive, responsible, and sustainable.
When a farmer turns surplus vegetables, eggs, or other products into income, that income can support an entire household.
Your partnership can help families discover the economic potential within their own land and skills while giving girls practical knowledge for a future of greater independence.
