Some girls we serve face circumstances that interrupt their education or limit their opportunities. For these girls, practical skills can provide an important second chance to rebuild confidence and prepare for a more secure future.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is using agricultural training as one pathway for skills development. Girls learn crop production, kitchen gardening, poultry care, seed management, farm planning, and basic income-generating practices.
The training is designed to be practical and accessible. Girls learn by participating in demonstrations and applying knowledge within their families and communities. This helps them develop not only farming skills but also responsibility, teamwork, planning, and problem-solving.
Families are involved because sustainable change is stronger when caregivers understand and support the girl’s development. We encourage families to use farming activities as opportunities for girls to practice their skills and contribute meaningfully.
Donor support can provide the resources required to make this learning possible, including seeds, tools, poultry starter support, training materials, demonstration gardens, and mentorship.
For a vulnerable girl, gaining a practical skill can be a powerful turning point. It can help her contribute to household food production, earn income in the future, and see herself as someone capable of creating solutions.
We want every girl to know that her future is not defined by the challenges she has experienced.
By investing in agricultural skills, donors can help girls move from vulnerability toward confidence, productivity, and independence.
Together, we can cultivate second chances and help girls grow opportunities from the resources available in their own communities.
