The vision of Keep Her in School goes beyond keeping girls inside classrooms. It is about building communities where children understand their rights, respect one another, make informed decisions, and have the confidence to pursue their futures. That is why F SSIBU Mission Foundation is intentionally bringing boys into the program as part of the solution.
Girls face challenges that can interrupt their education, but boys also need support to understand how their choices, attitudes, and relationships can affect those challenges. Through mentorship and life-skills education, boys are being equipped to become more informed, respectful, and responsible young people.
The program creates opportunities for boys to learn about reproductive health, healthy relationships, gender equality, education, leadership, emotional wellbeing, and responsible decision-making. These conversations can help challenge harmful beliefs and encourage boys to see girls not through stereotypes, but as individuals with ambitions, rights, abilities, and futures.
The impact extends beyond the classroom. When boys become more informed and supportive, they can influence their peers, siblings, families, and communities. Over time, this can contribute to environments where girls are encouraged to remain in school rather than pushed toward early responsibilities that can limit their opportunities.
Donors have an opportunity to help make this transformation possible. Support can provide educational materials, mentorship, awareness sessions, trained facilitators, and safe spaces for boys and girls to learn together.
Keep Her in School is investing in both the girl who deserves to stay in class and the boy who can help create a community where she is supported to succeed. Together, we can nurture a generation where every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a meaningful future.
