Keep her in school

When we invest in girls’ education, we must also consider the environment in which those girls will grow into adulthood. The boys growing up beside them today will become future partners, parents, colleagues, and community members. Keep Her in School therefore includes boys in its wider vision for sustainable community transformation.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to equip boys with practical knowledge and life skills that can help them make responsible decisions and develop respectful attitudes toward girls and women. Through mentorship, reproductive health awareness, leadership development, peer education, and life-skills activities, boys are given opportunities to learn, ask questions, and reflect on how their choices affect themselves and others.

The program addresses issues that can directly or indirectly contribute to girls leaving school, including early pregnancy, harmful peer pressure, discrimination, harassment, and unhealthy relationships. By helping boys understand these challenges, we aim to strengthen their capacity to become positive influences within their schools, families, and communities.

This work creates an important multiplier effect. A boy who learns to respect girls’ education today can carry those values into his future relationships, family, workplace, and community leadership.
