From Emergency Support to Long-Term Protection for 120 Children

By Ivan Seguya | Project leader

F SSIBU Mission Foundation is strengthening its commitment to children by connecting immediate assistance with longer-term protection. Under the Nurture 200 Lives program, 120 children are currently fully supported by the organization, and our work is focused on responding to their practical needs while creating pathways toward greater stability.

Our first food-package distribution to these 120 children is an important step in this journey. Food assistance helps households facing hardship manage immediate needs and gives children greater security. Alongside food, clothing support helps children maintain dignity and participate more confidently in school and community life.

Yet we understand that sustainable child protection requires more than periodic distributions. Communities continue to identify children who have been abandoned or are living without adequate protection. These situations require safe spaces, consistent care, and coordinated services.

For this reason, F SSIBU Mission Foundation is preparing toward the construction of a rescue center for abandoned children. The planned center will provide a structured environment where children facing serious vulnerability can receive protection and access essential services. It will complement our community-based approach by creating a dedicated place where urgent cases can be assessed and supported.

Donor partnership is critical at every stage—from food and clothing support today to the construction and future operation of the rescue center.

Our goal is to create continuity of care: responding when a child is hungry, providing clothing when a child lacks it, supporting education when school is at risk, and creating a safe environment when home or community circumstances become unsafe.

Through your support, immediate relief can become part of a lasting child-protection journey
