Access to books can make a meaningful difference in whether a child remains engaged in learning or gradually falls behind. In vulnerable communities across Eastern Uganda, many children attend school without adequate reading materials at home or in their classrooms. Limited access to age-appropriate books can affect reading practice, confidence, comprehension, and overall academic participation.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to expand the distribution of storybooks, readers, supplementary learning materials, and other educational resources to children and schools serving communities where educational resources remain limited. Priority can be given to children who face multiple barriers to consistent schooling, including poverty, inadequate learning materials, and difficult household circumstances.
Donor support can help us reach more schools and provide children with materials they can use both inside and outside the classroom. A book can become more than a learning resource—it can encourage curiosity, strengthen literacy, build confidence, and help a child imagine possibilities beyond their immediate circumstances.
By investing in books, donors can help create stronger learning environments where children have practical tools to improve their education. Expanding access to reading materials also supports teachers, parents, and community learning initiatives working to keep children engaged in school.
Every contribution can help place meaningful learning resources into the hands of children who need them most and support their journey toward a more hopeful educational future.
