Menstrual poverty can create serious challenges for girls who lack reliable access to menstrual hygiene materials. In vulnerable communities across Eastern Uganda, some girls may miss lessons, remain at home during menstruation, or face embarrassment and stigma because they cannot afford adequate menstrual products. Repeated interruptions to education can increase their risk of falling behind or eventually leaving school.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to expand menstrual pad distribution to more schools where girls are particularly vulnerable to these challenges. Alongside the provision of menstrual materials, the initiative can support age-appropriate education on menstrual health, hygiene, dignity, and stigma reduction.
Donor support can help us reach more girls with menstrual pads and practical information that enables them to manage menstruation safely and confidently while remaining engaged in school. We also aim to work with teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to strengthen supportive environments around girls.
Providing menstrual materials is not simply about distributing a product. It is about helping remove a preventable barrier to education and ensuring that menstruation does not become a reason for a girl to miss school or feel excluded.
With additional resources, F SSIBU can expand this work to more schools and communities across Eastern Uganda where menstrual poverty continues to affect vulnerable girls.
Every donation can contribute to a girl staying in class, participating with confidence, and continuing her education without being held back by the lack of menstrual supplies.
