Keeping a girl in school is not only about ensuring she has access to a classroom. It is also about helping her believe that education can lead somewhere meaningful. Girls growing up in vulnerable communities may face pressure from poverty, early pregnancy, child marriage, family challenges, negative peer influence, or limited opportunities. Without encouragement and guidance, some can lose confidence in their ability to continue.
Through the Keep Her in School program, F SSIBU Mission Foundation seeks to provide mentorship that helps girls understand their value, strengthen their confidence, and remain focused on education. Donor support can help facilitate mentorship sessions where girls receive encouragement, guidance on personal development, discussions about education, decision-making, leadership, relationships, and future aspirations.
These conversations can create important moments of reflection. A girl who once felt that dropping out was her only option can begin to see another possibility. She can identify goals, seek guidance when challenges arise, and recognize that her current circumstances do not have to define her entire future.
Mentorship also gives girls trusted spaces where their experiences can be heard. It helps build relationships between children, mentors, families, schools, and community support systems.
Your contribution can therefore support more than school attendance. It can help nurture confidence, resilience, ambition, and leadership.
Together, donors and F SSIBU are walking alongside girls—not simply to keep them in school today, but to help them remain connected to the dreams and opportunities that education can unlock tomorrow.
