A girl who has dropped out of school because of forced marriage still has dreams, abilities, and potential. F SSIBU Mission Foundation believes that her circumstances should not permanently determine her future.
Our skills empowerment initiative seeks to provide vulnerable girls with practical opportunities to learn, create, and potentially earn. We are working to equip 20 girls with sewing machines while providing training in tailoring and entrepreneurship.
At the same time, other girls can access training in practical areas such as meal fabrication, hairdressing, craft weaving, poultry keeping, modern farming, and other livelihood activities.
These skills are selected with the goal of connecting learning with everyday economic opportunities. A girl who learns tailoring may eventually produce garments or provide repair services. Another who learns poultry keeping may develop a small enterprise. Someone trained in hairdressing may build a customer base. Craft skills can become products for local markets.
Donor support can help turn these possibilities into reality by providing equipment, training materials, instructors, mentorship, and startup support.
The transformation we seek is practical: helping girls gain skills they can use, confidence they can build upon, and opportunities they can pursue.
Support a girl’s journey toward independence. Give her more than hope—help provide the tools and skills that can help her act on it.
