Education remains important, but girls whose schooling has been interrupted also need practical opportunities to rebuild their futures. For girls affected by forced marriage and school dropout, vocational skills can provide another pathway toward independence.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation is developing skills-development opportunities designed to help vulnerable girls gain practical knowledge they can use within their communities. One key goal is to equip 20 girls with sewing machines and provide tailoring training that can support future income-generating activities.

But our vision extends beyond sewing. We want girls to explore different skills according to their interests and opportunities available within their communities. These include meal fabrication, hairdressing, craft weaving, poultry keeping, entrepreneurship, and other livelihood skills.

Through training, mentorship, practice, and access to appropriate tools, girls can gain more than technical knowledge. They can develop confidence, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and an understanding of how skills can be transformed into sustainable livelihoods.

For donors, supporting vocational empowerment means investing in practical opportunities that can continue creating value beyond a single intervention.
