For many children we serve, the digital world is something they hear about but rarely experience firsthand.
While technology is becoming increasingly important in education and everyday life, children growing up in vulnerable communities may have little or no opportunity to sit at a computer, practice digital skills, or access online learning resources. Poverty can create a digital barrier that begins early and becomes harder to overcome as children grow.
F SSIBU Mission Foundation is working to change this reality through our community computer skilling initiative. We are creating opportunities for boys and girls to learn practical computer skills, gain confidence with technology, and discover how digital tools can support their education and future development.
A child who learns to type, create a document, search for educational information, communicate digitally, or use technology responsibly is gaining more than a technical skill. They are gaining another tool for learning and participating in a changing world.
We want the children we serve to experience technology as something accessible—not something reserved for children from wealthier households.
Donor support can help us expand this opportunity by providing computers, tutors, desks and chairs, internet connectivity, power equipment, software, learning materials, and maintenance.
Every computer placed in the hands of a learner creates another opportunity to learn. Every training session can build confidence where there was once uncertainty.
Your support can help us open a digital door for children who have been kept on the other side by poverty—and give them the opportunity to step through it.
