Strengthening Girls' Lives and Resilience

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

Peer Solidarity Support is an important component of our work to empower and protect girls in the communities we serve. Through this program, girls are encouraged to support, learn from, and stand alongside one another as they navigate challenges affecting their education, wellbeing, dignity, and future.

The program is creating safe spaces where girls can openly share experiences, encourage one another, and develop the confidence to seek support when facing difficult circumstances. This peer-to-peer approach is helping girls understand that they are not alone and that their voices, choices, and aspirations matter.

Through mentorship, peer discussions, life-skills education, and community-based support, girls are gaining knowledge and practical skills that enable them to make informed decisions. The program also strengthens their confidence to remain engaged in education, resist harmful influences, protect themselves from abuse and exploitation, and seek appropriate support when their rights are threatened.

Most importantly, peer solidarity is helping to build a culture of resilience. Girls who receive support are increasingly becoming sources of encouragement to others, creating a positive cycle in which knowledge, confidence, and hope are shared within their communities.

For girls who have experienced vulnerability, exclusion, or difficult circumstances, having supportive peers can make a meaningful difference in their recovery and ability to look toward the future with renewed confidence.

The Difference Your Support Makes

Your generosity makes it possible for us to create supportive environments where girls can connect, learn, heal, and grow together. Every contribution helps strengthen the networks of care and encouragement that enable vulnerable girls to pursue their education, protect their dignity, and build more secure futures.

By supporting Peer Solidarity Support, you are not simply supporting one girl—you are helping create a stronger community of girls who can lift one another, speak up for their rights, and become confident leaders of positive change.

We are deeply grateful to our donors and partners whose continued commitment makes this work possible. Together, we are helping girls move from vulnerability toward confidence, resilience, dignity, and opportunity.
