The Power of Informed Choices Among Girls

By Seguya Ivan | Project leader

Through our girls’ empowerment and mentorship initiatives, we are creating safe spaces where girls can ask questions, understand their rights, build confidence, and make decisions that positively influence their lives.

This work is particularly important for girls facing poverty, limited access to information, social pressure, and other barriers that can affect their ability to remain in school and pursue their aspirations. By equipping girls with age-appropriate knowledge on sexual and reproductive health, menstrual health and hygiene, personal safety, education, and life skills, we are strengthening their ability to recognize risks, seek appropriate support, and make responsible decisions.

The impact goes beyond individual girls. Informed girls are better positioned to stay focused on their education, protect their dignity, communicate their needs, and participate confidently in decisions affecting their future. Our mentorship approach also encourages girls to develop self-confidence, resilience, leadership skills, and a stronger sense of personal responsibility.

For donors, your support represents more than funding a program—it is an investment in informed, confident, and empowered girls. Every contribution helps us reach more girls with knowledge, mentorship, and practical support that can prevent harmful choices and open pathways toward education and greater independence.

We remain committed to ensuring that girls in vulnerable communities have the information and support they need to make informed choices and build brighter futures. When a girl is informed, she is better equipped to protect her future, remain in school, and become a positive force within her community.

We sincerely thank our donors and partners for standing with us in this important work. Your generosity is helping transform information into confidence, confidence into informed choices, and informed choices into lasting opportunities for girls.
