We are proud to share an important step forward in our commitment to supporting girls and young women in the communities we serve. We are commencing efforts to establish reusable menstrual pad production at our home, creating a sustainable solution to menstrual poverty while equipping girls and youth with practical skills for their future.
With continued donor funding and partnership, we aim to establish a well-equipped reusable menstrual pad-making initiative where qualified personnel with specialized skills can train and mentor our girls. This will not only improve access to safe and reusable menstrual products but also provide valuable vocational skills that can contribute to self-reliance, dignity, and economic empowerment.
For many vulnerable girls, lack of access to menstrual products can mean missing school, experiencing stress and embarrassment, or falling behind in their education. Through this initiative, we want to help girls manage their periods with confidence and remain fully engaged in school, skills training, and community life.
Your continued support will help us build the capacity to produce reusable pads locally, train more girls and youth, and gradually reduce the resources required to provide menstrual products. Every step toward sustainability means that the resources we save can be redirected to reaching even more vulnerable children and young people across communities in Uganda.
We sincerely thank our donors and partners for believing in this vision. Your generosity is helping us move beyond short-term assistance toward sustainable solutions that restore dignity, create opportunities, and empower girls to shape their own futures.
