Nutrition & Early Childhood Program — Salta, Argentina
1. Executive Summary

Pata Pila continues its mission in the most remote Indigenous and rural communities of Northern Argentina. After 11 years of uninterrupted work in the Gran Chaco, our integrated model remains the frontline defense against child malnutrition. This report reflects our latest reach and the life-changing results achieved through your support.

2. Nutrition & Early Childhood — Key Results (Updated)

11,040 children screened for the first time

4,010 children currently enrolled in active nutritional treatment

1,221 children fully recovered and discharged

400 pregnant women in high-vulnerability situations supported.

1,893 total discharges (historic)

3. Our Comprehensive Approach: Beyond Food

Malnutrition is a complex issue. We tackle it through:

Medical and nutritional monitoring.

Early Childhood Stimulation (Montessori-based).

Social Economy & Sustainability: Including 200 active beehives and 41 family gardens to ensure long-term food security.

4. Safe Water & Infrastructure
19 Safe Water Access Projects (Cisterns and wells) protecting families from waterborne diseases.

Strategic Logistics: Our teams have covered +1.8 million km to reach families living 40-80 km away from any health center.

5. Education: Pozo Araoz School
53 students enrolled in 2025/2026.

The school serves as a community hub for nutrition, education, and health, providing a safe environment for children who previously had no access to formal schooling.

6. Why Your Continued Support Matters
The crisis in Northern Argentina persists, but our results prove that recovery is possible.

Current Challenge: We have 4,010 children in the program today who depend on weekly follow-ups to reach their "Nutritional Discharge" (Alta Nutricional).

The Goal: Transitioning more children from "Screened" to "Recovered" (1,221 and counting).

7. Thank You
Every dollar fuels the trucks, pays the specialized health organic team (81 permanent staff members), and buys the milk and medicine that save lives.
