Equipping Women Artisans to Lead in India and Keny

Hello there!

It’s a new year, and we couldn’t be more excited about a fresh start! We’re going to take a look back on 2023 — the good, the bad, the bubbly. And let you know what’s next for Project Três.

2023 was a year that saw many personal budgets trimmed or cut. Demand grew, while access to resources shrank. As a grassroots volunteer organization, we also found ourselves tightening belts. Our mission remains steadfast, and our priority will always be the well-being and support of our artisans in India and Kenya.

While budgets tightened in 2023, it allowed us to rethink fundraising, and has made us even more grateful to you — our monthly donors. It is with your support that we keep carrying the torch to help women and their communities discover greater personal opportunities.

Challenges aside, your donations have made the following possible:

• Our ladies in India are taking more initiative towards their development, by organizing English classes, looking for new mental health service providers, and enthusiastic engagement in their activities and yoga classes.
• We've welcomed two new groups of women, in partnership with Respiro. This brought further interculturality, cultural exchanges, and extra income for our ladies in India.
• Our cooking classes have been a smashing success! We’ve so far seen 50 participants across 19 classes led by the women in Goa.
• We gained two independent volunteers in our Goa Center who have selflessly contributed to our mission. They’ve offered computer classes, and are documenting our artisans’ stories, which you’ll be seeing here soon!
• We organized an event in Berlin, Germany where volunteers and local artists came together to raise money and awareness for Project Três.
• We welcomed into the world a beautiful bouncing boy from our founder and fearless leader, Carla Maria de Souza - congratulations again Carla! 

Thank you again for your dedication to our cause. We are a small group of volunteers who hope to make a difference in even a handful of lives.
