We're Project Tres. Since 2016, we have built collaborative programs designed by and for the women we work with, ensuring their voices lead the way. Our approach is rooted in dismantling traditional aid models that perpetuate dependency. Instead, we offer skills training, primarily in textile processing and decor-making, alongside financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and mental health support. By prioritising self-sufficiency and fair trade, we support women to build futures on their own terms.
In India and Kenya, the women we collaborate with have historically been sidelined by a lack of year-round work. The seasonal nature of tourism-based jobs and lack of access to financial education have created cycles of debt, insecurity, and extreme difficulty, especially during off-seasons. By centring on the lived experiences of these women, we are addressing the root causes of instability and fostering sustainable change from the ground up.
Our approach goes beyond short-term fixes. We believe in a holistic approach, meaning we don't offer quick solutions for systemic problems. Instead of measuring and rewarding only productivity, we focus on creating stability. For many women, the concept of receiving a stable income was life-changing. Through a combination of fair wages and financial education, we enable them to gain confidence, make independent decisions, and break free from abusive situations.
By continuously investing in leadership development, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and a safe space to do so, we are equipping women with the tools to be the architects of their own futures. These women are not just participants in a program-they are becoming community leaders and changemakers. Our holistic approach ensures that the skills they gain today will ripple outward, strengthening their communities as they share their knowledge and inspire future generations.
