Annually, we provide surgeries to around 1000 Cleft children and adults through Medical Missions and camps. These camps are very important to provide safe and corrective surgeries to thousands of children and adults born with cleft in remote villages of India. We travel with all the medical equipments needed for the missions. Which helps us to provide safe and secure surgeries to even children & Infants in these remote sites. We need to partially change the equipments & purchase 6 critical ones.
Medical Equipments are critical for our surgeries. These need to be urgently replaced. a. Biphasic Defibrillator and AED to recover patients in the event of sudden collapse of heart. b. Transport Ventilator - To secure the respiratory system of a patient in the event of an incident. c. 2 Pcs ETCO2 Monitor - To monitor the vital medical parameters of a patient during surgery and recovery. d. Flash Sterilizer - To sterilize surgical equipments before taking a new patient on the table.
These new medical equipments will help us to condemn the worn-out and obsolete equipments and help make surgeries easier. It will help us to perform larger number of surgeries in our medical and provide the gift of Smiles to a larger number of children and adults born with Cleft.
The potential long term impact of the project is to build operational capacity to provide and treat larger number of cleft children in our medical missions, we emphasize on safe and compassionate surgery with adherence to Global safety and medical protocols.
