Brenda, originally from the Huasteca region of San Luis Potosí, came to AMANC as just a little girl after being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). From the very beginning, AMANC became her safe haven, providing her with essential services such as lodging, meals, support with medical tests, and medications—ensuring she had everything she needed to get through her treatment.
With great courage, Brenda completed her treatment, and during ten years of medical follow-up, she continued receiving AMANC’s support. But our help didn’t stop there. We stood by Brenda as she pursued a promising future, helping her achieve her dream of becoming a nurse. Today, in addition to being a dedicated professional, Brenda is the mother of a young child—a true reflection of strength, love, and hope.
Her story is a powerful testament to how comprehensive support can transform lives, and it inspires us to keep fighting together for more stories like Brenda’s.
Thank you, Brenda, for showing us that together, we are stronger than cancer!
