Amalia is a girl from an indigenous community, known as Teenek, in the municipality of Aquismón in the Huasteca Potosina region. Coming from a family with very limited resources, they found themselves needing to move to the city when Amalia was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After 6 months of treatment, Amalia continues to stay positive and committed to her treatment.
As part of our goals, we always strive to ensure that patients feel happy during their stay at the AMANC center. One of the main activities we carry out is celebrating their birthdays, so we can give them moments of quality and uplift their spirits, which in turn will have a positive impact on their treatment.
It was Amalia's turn to be celebrated. She had always dreamed of having a party, as she had never had one in her 8 years of life. We didn't miss the opportunity to call on all our followers and organize a big celebration for her.
The event took place on May 6th, where people with big hearts gathered to give her an unforgettable day. There was everything: delicious food, decorations, music, princesses, dancing, and fun. A big smile on Amalia's face filled the room with joy.
We are confident that this celebration will be hardly forgotten, and we thank once again all the donors, volunteers, and everyone who got involved in making one more dream come true.
Thank you.
