Here we are in the second term, and all of our students are studying hard! Thanks to you, 135 students in P.6 and P.7 classes got new desks in March. Being first to get new desks was a great reward for the older students, who had been helping to repair the old broken desks - so they really felt appreciated when their new desks arrived.
The next classrooms to get desks will be Primary 4 & 5. We need just $2,000 more to finish and deliver the desks for these two classes and complete phase two of our desk project. Again, over 100 children will be helped in this part of the project.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE!
The second term started at the end of May. In this term, we're launching clubs where students can develop in the areas that interest them most. At the same time they're developing their skills, they will also be learning ways they can use their best talents and the things they enjoy to earn a living. We have visitors here working along with our teachers, helping students to complete special projects and working with Mama Sara and Mama Rose.
With the school filled to capacity at 500 students, finishing desks for these next two classes will be a great help!
We hope that you'll mark TOMORROW, June 12th on your calendar, because GlobalGiving will be matching online donations by 40% for up to $1,000 per donor per project - so your donation goes 40% farther! There is $90,000 available in matching funds, and GlobalGiving is rewarding $1,000 to the project with the most individual donors. So, this is the perfect time to give generously and to share the news about Friends of TOUCH!
