November 2021 - The JOY Home opened!
In the past three years, 43 children have come through our front door and benefited from the life-changing therapies you have made possible. Four of them have been adopted into their forever families. Another 14 have been placed in foster families. We started 3 years ago, with two little girls.
Today, we have 22 children who visit each week!
How cool is that?!?
In 36 short months, you have helped us provide transportation with our wheel-chair accessible bus; donated leg braces, wheelchairs, and therapy equipment; added 3 new therapists, and created additional therapy spaces across the street at the Little Joy Annex! And this past summer we had our first-ever day camp, Camp Joy, where we invited very special children from our community for a week of fun, tailored just to them!
You've given children the gift of mobility by providing physical therapy and assistive devices. We have seen children begin to trust and completely come out of their shells to become happy and outgoing. We've celebrated so many successes that it was difficult to choose only a few pictures for this newsletter!
The JOY Home is only successful because of the generosity and support of our donors. And we need your help today. Your gift, no matter the amount, will directly contribute to therapies for the amazing kids we work with each week. We have an end-of-the-year fundraising goal of $6,125 to help us catch up this year's budget.
Once again, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of the amazing children we serve.
Thank you for championing the children of The JOY Home, Lighthouse of Hope, and our mission to provide hope and healing to children who have special needs in Macedonia. Together, we can create lasting change.
