When you provide a desk for children like Juan Manuel and his classmates, you lift them up, inspire them to dream and study hard, so they can break free from the cycle of poverty.
We are a Christian non-profit, working to break the cycle of poverty in impoverished communities in Colombia by providing children access to a strong education, equipping them with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to leading fruitful and fulfilling lives. But after 20 years of operation, many of the students desks are showing signs of age, and in desperate need of replacement. With 4 schools & over 3000 students, the opportunity to positively impact children's lives is immense.
This project will provide over 300 student desks, 27 school book cabinets, 30 preschool mats, 5 fans and 50 teachers desks for the CDA Schools in the impoverished communities of El Pozon (Cartagena), Lucero Alto and Altos de Cazuca (Bogota) and Las Americas (Barranquilla), Colombia.
It is the dignity, capacity, and richness of each human being behind the broken neighborhoods that inspired Conviventia-CDA to reach out and invest in equipping individuals and families with adequate schools, training centers, child protection & family strengthening programs and access to services that will train the mind, touch the heart and equip and prepare each individual to take responsibility for their own life, paving the way to sustainable transformation.
