Rural Clinics Lack Oxygen Supply for Patients

By Joy Ojochogwu Etubi | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Equip 5 Villages with Solar-Powered Oxygen Machine project. Your contribution shows care for patients who depend on oxygen therapy to survive. However, the donations received so far are still not enough to begin the planned installation.

Across many rural communities in Nigeria, clinics continue to operate without reliable electricity. This makes it difficult to use oxygen machines needed for treating conditions such as pneumonia, asthma, and birth complications.

Without access to oxygen, patients in respiratory distress face serious risk. Many families are forced to travel long distances in search of care, which can lead to delays and poor outcomes.

This project is designed to equip 5 rural clinics with solar-powered oxygen systems. These systems will provide a steady oxygen supply without relying on unstable power sources. Health workers will also be trained to operate and maintain the equipment.

With the right support, clinics can provide timely care, reduce avoidable deaths, and improve patient outcomes in underserved areas.

We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this program and reach communities in need.

Thank you for your kindness and continued support.

Sincerely,

Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
