This project will reach around 15,000 Ukrainian children by equipping 15 schools with tennis gear and integrating tennis into their curriculum; regardless of existing sports facilities like tennis courts. Your support provides essential movement and emotional relief for children facing daily trauma due to the ongoing war.
The full-scale war has severely disrupted the children's daily lives - displacing families, and destroying over 500 sports facilities across the country. At the same time, overall levels of physical activity among youth have dropped significantly, putting their physical and mental health at risk. In the current context, access to structured and engaging physical activity is more important than ever. This project addresses these critical gaps by integrating tennis activities into school settings.
By integrating tennis into public school curriculum, the project provides children with structured and engaging ways to move, grow and reconnect: with themselves, their peers and their communities. The project promotes physical and mental well-being, builds resilience, and provide the base for a future where tennis plays a central role in growing healthy, active and inspired generations.
15,000+ children across 15 public schools will gain access to structured tennis activities. 15+ PE teachers will be trained and will actively teach tennis. 15 schools will be fully equipped with tennis kits to deliver regular tennis classes. 15 extracurricular tennis clubs will be launched, offering after-school programs to students.
