Equip 100 Youth with Digital Literacy & Job Skills

The project has continued to build awareness and interest among young people in Niger State while fundraising remains the key priority. To date, $41 has been raised from 3 donors, leaving $7,959 of the $8,000 goal still needed. There are currently 0 monthly donors, highlighting the urgent need for sustained donor support to move the project into full implementation.

So far, 100 out-of-school youth have been identified as the intended beneficiaries, with preparations focused on creating opportunities for them to gain practical digital and employability skills. One young constituent, a school-leaver from the community who currently has limited employment opportunities, represents the challenge this project seeks to address. Like many other young people, he is eager to work but lacks access to a computer, reliable internet, and practical digital training.

The project will provide 20 computers, internet access, power backup, and a three-month training program covering computer literacy, Microsoft Office, online research, data entry, basic graphic design, online safety, CV writing, and introductory freelancing skills.

With $7,959 remaining, additional donations are urgently needed to establish the computer lab, begin training, and help all 100 beneficiaries move toward employment, freelancing, and sustainable income opportunities.
