This quarter, 70 young mothers have been equipped with practical business and life skills through our entrepreneurship training program in Homa Bay and Kibra. Many of these women entered the program unemployed, financially strained, and unsure of how to support their children. Today, As of June, 60% have already launched income-generating activities such as tailoring, food kiosks, secondhand clothing stalls, and beauty services. Additionally, 45 mothers have joined savings groups, giving them access to capital and peer support.
One of the participants, Caroline, shared:
“Before this training, I was doing casual jobs with no plan. Now, I run my own small vegetable stand, and I can pay rent and buy food for my child. My life has changed completely.”
This transformation is not just about money, it’s about dignity, confidence, and sustainability. With your continued support, we are well on our way to reaching our goal of training 200 young mothers. Each woman empowered is a family uplifted. Thank you for helping us turn everyday struggles into lasting solutions.
