"I am 21 Years old with 2 children. I was married at the age of 16 after my parents passed on. I was not able to finish high school. I moved to Nairobi to make my life better. Since I joined the Young Mother's economic empowerement program. I have managed to start a small business, giving me an average of Ksh 500/ USD 4 per day in proffits. This has enabled me to feed my children and pay my rent" Joan.
Joan and 20 other young mothers were recruited to participate in our 1stcohort for in Jan. The were trained on entrepreneurship, resource assessment, financial management, budgeting and record keeping, start-up capital and sustainability. They are also trained on pitching their business idea for funding and compueter litereacy.
