Although the project aims to establish fully equipped ICT laboratories in 10 government secondary schools across Niger State, progress has been slower than anticipated due to limited funding. With only a small fraction of the $30,000 goal raised, the available resources have not been sufficient to construct and equip complete ICT labs in the target schools. To ensure that donor contributions still create immediate impact, the funds received were strategically used to purchase laptops and desktop computers, which were donated to a local ICT hub. Through this partnership, students from government secondary schools have been granted free access to the facility, allowing them to learn basic computer skills, digital literacy, online research, and other essential ICT competencies at no cost. This approach has enabled the project to begin addressing digital exclusion while additional fundraising efforts continue. As more donations are received, the project will gradually transition toward its original objective of establishing permanent ICT laboratories within the selected government secondary schools.
