Durch Bildung Zukunft schenken

By Johanna Wiest | Project Manager

$5230 have been donated for the project Access to Secondary Education for Kenyan Orphans on GlobalGiving until today. This money is an immense contribution to ensuring that children are able to obtain a good education that will later enable them to find employment and escape the vicious cycle of poverty. It helps to provide them with the necessary means to stay in school, despite the poverty of their guardians, which is the reason why they have to drop out of school in many cases.

One of them is Victor Odiwuor, the first born in the family of 4. Him and his siblings are total orphans, their guardian is their grandmother, who is blind.  He is 16 years old and has been forced to stay out of school, as his grandmother is barely able to raise enough money to buy food for her and the children, let alone school uniforms, books etc.  With the support of the project Victor has been able to purchase these items and is now attending school regularly. We´d like to express our gratitude on his and the other childrens´ behalf. Please continue to support this project. We cannot emphasize enough how important it is for the children.
