The Kids in their New Track Suits
The Kids in their New Track Suits

Since our last project report, $725 have been donated for our project Equal Opportunities in Education for Kenyan Orphans via GlobalGiving. We´d like to express our gratitude to all donors.

The manager of the program in Kenya, Sr. Seraphine, has decided to buy 44 track suits for the children that they need for sports and games at school. After school they often play football or netball or do rope skipping. Wearing track suits for these activities is a requirement at Kenyan schools. Evidently exercise is very important for the children as it provides a balance to studying and learning and promotes health and overall performance.

Other kids, such as Sharon, who is the second born in the family of four children, who are all cared for by a single, jobless mother, have been equipped with the basics they need in order to attend boarding school. This includes school uniforms, shoe, socks, box, blankets, sheets, towel, mattress, excise books and school bag. Thanks to all who have made a contribution!
