The Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) team explored new ways to reach out to the youth, educators, families, and communities. A series of webinars on environmental education was conducted this 2021, in partnership with the Department of Education Schools Division of San Jose City and other academic institutions.

Steps have been taken to streamline sustainability into the country’s educational system. The team partnered with APEC Schools to develop online modules on the integration of environmental education and ESD into lesson plans and curriculae. The team contributed materials to the DepEd Commons, a microsite of resources made public for educators. The team also presented at this year’s UNESCO World Conference of Education for Sustainable Development held online in Berlin, Germany, where they discussed the current state of ESD integration in the Philippine education system.
