Emergination Africa 2025 Update

By Yolanda Million | Operations and Administration Manager

Dear Donors and Stakeholders of Emergination Africa

As we continue to develop Africa's future business leaders, the beginning of the year has been filled with impactful activities focused on strengthening partnerships, enhancing teacher training programs, and engaging with learners. From preparing for major events to exploring new collaborations, we have made significant progress across multiple initiatives.

In February, we advanced several key programs. Our Virtual Innovation Accelerator (VIA) initiative continues to make meaningful strides, with teams addressing challenges such as company registration, business plan development, and leadership transitions, all while receiving our ongoing support. We are also eagerly awaiting funding to launch the next VIA cohort.

Meanwhile, the NBCC 2024 finals have been tentatively rescheduled for May due to delays in fund disbursements. For 2025, our overall goals include prioritizing teacher training, monitoring program performance, and integrating feedback to enhance the program’s overall effectiveness.

Considerable effort has also been directed toward the Educator Venture Development Training (EVDT) program. We are currently developing a comprehensive manual designed to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools necessary to improve entrepreneurship education. These efforts highlight our dedication to fostering growth and innovation across all our programs.

January and February have been pivotal in laying the groundwork for long-term growth. The partnerships we have established, the new initiatives we have launched, and the enhancements made to existing programs all contribute to a stronger and more interconnected entrepreneurial ecosystem. Looking ahead, we remain committed to advancing teacher training, improving program delivery, and securing resources to ensure the sustainability of our initiatives. By equipping youth with critical, practical, and problem-solving skills, we aim to create sustainable opportunities that empower learners to generate opportunities for themselves and others.
