Sajani is scared

Dear Donors,

Sajani (name changed) peeped from the hide out of her mom's saree and was more scared to see her father's face red with anger. He left the home and a wave of sadness passed over her when she looked at her beaten mother. This has become a routine part of her life now, due to the severity of her father's drinking habit.  She asked the coordinator of New Life who visited the centre the next day, to come to her home and ask her dad not to shout and beat her mother. She also added, "I am much scared of my father and do not want to go back to home".

Sajani's father is a server in a hotel, and her mother works as a house maid. The mother should take care of the home as the father spends his earnings in drinks. Recently Sajani's mother met with an accident and had an operation. She  could not stay at home and take care of her health even after the operation as she should feed her three children.

While Sajani was a small child, her mother used to carry her to her place of work. Now, with Sajani in the early learning centre, the mother could take up more jobs. When admitted in the centre Sajani was speaking less and was very weak. With the nutritious food we give and the tender care she gets, she gained weight and her speech is improved now.

Many children in Kaja pet live in difficult circumstances like Sajani, and, they are being given a ray of hope with the support of you dear donors. Their health and education is being taken care of with the donations you give. We thank you dear donors for supporting  lovely children like Sajani.

You can start a new monthly donation to ensure your support to these children on a continuous basis. You can also support us by telling about us to your friends and relatives and motivating them to donate to this project on their special days.

You will be happy to know that New Life mobilised support from the EVR Periyar Nagar Ladies Club, Cantonment Ladies Club and Rotary Club of Diamond City Queens. We got donations in cash and in kind. Rotary Club of Diamond City Queens is giving additional supplementary food twice a week since July. Thank you Diamond City Queens for giving pulses and healthy vegetables cooked tastily for our children and all the ladies who support these sweet kids.

We thank you once again dear donors. Dont forget to support us on 12th September Bonus day and multiply the value of your dontions.

With gratitude, love and regards
