Dear donors,

On 15.5.2018 we had a parents meet in our early learning centre to help us know the views of the parents about the centre's functioning and inviting their suggestions to improve the performance of the centre. It was a great feeling to hear that our staff are performing well and the parents are happy about the functioning of the creche.

You will be much more delighted to know that some of the parents are willing to donate the maximum they can in kind like dhall, used rhymes books of their children, picture charts, etc. We too are overwhelmed by the response from our children's parents. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the organisation, field staff, the centre teacher, the caretaker, and 16 parents.

Shan (name changed) is 5 years old and he will be admitted in 1st standard in this June. Shan's father is a painter and his mother works in the neary by houses as servant maid. Their total income per month is $130 and this is also not stabe as Shan's father fails to go to work regularly. He fetches up quarrels with others frequently. Shan was admitted to our centre two years back. While joining he was weak and could not pick up the lessons taught in the class. Now he is healthy and can recite rhymes and letters and words appropriate to his age.

Shan's mother said' " I was very much upset with my first son's death. Then Shan was born. He is my life and I wanted him to grow as a good person. I did not want his father's qualities to affect my child. Then we admitted him in the early learning centre. He learnt good manners and is studying well. Now he is going to the first standard. Thanks to the New Life learning centre for laying the foundation for his life."

Shan and other children in our early learning centre can be guided, taught and nourished only with the help of you dear donors. While thanking you for this, we also appeal to you to kindly spread words about the project and our children to your friends and relatives and help this children grow.

Thanking you
