Summary

This project will provide essential maternal healthcare services to 200 pregnant women in underserved communities of Pakistan. Many women lack access to prenatal care, skilled birth attendants, and postnatal support, putting both mothers and newborns at risk. The project will offer prenatal checkups, health education, safe delivery support, emergency referrals, and postnatal care to help mothers experience healthy pregnancies and safe childbirth.

Challenge

Every mother deserves the chance to welcome her child into the world safely. For many women in Pakistan, childbirth is a time of fear rather than celebration. Poverty, limited access to healthcare, and a shortage of skilled birth attendants mean that countless mothers face pregnancy and delivery without the care they need. When complications arise, many families cannot afford emergency treatment, putting both mothers and newborns at risk. No mother should risk her life while giving life.

Solution

This project will help 200 vulnerable pregnant women in underserved communities of Pakistan access the care they need for safe pregnancies and healthy childbirth. Through community outreach, expectant mothers will be connected to prenatal checkups, health screenings, nutrition support, and maternal health education. Women will receive regular monitoring during pregnancy to identify potential complications early and ensure timely treatment.

Long-Term Impact

Every safe birth gives a family hope and a child the chance to thrive. This project will help ensure that 200 vulnerable mothers and their newborns receive lifesaving maternal healthcare, reducing preventable complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Over the long term, at least 200 mothers will receive prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care, while 200 newborns will benefit from a healthier start in life. The project aims to achieve 90% or higher attendance at prenatal checkups.
