Teach For Armenia appreciates and encourages the unwavering support from our supporters for our efforts to increase educational opportunities for all children in Armenia by believing in the capacity of our nation’s top talent to unlock this potential in our upcoming generation.
February has been a milestone month for us. We launched official collaboration with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Armenia and will soon be announced as the 36th partner in the Teach For All network. We are confident that through the support of these partnerships, Teach For Armenia will continue to scale and impact more lives of students throughout Armenia in the many years to come.
After our successful partnership with GlobalGiving, Teach For Armenia has been actively working on the preparations for the launch of Summer Institute in July 2015. Our mission and objective for Summer Institute and beyond are inspired by the deeply held conviction that every child in Armenia is entitled to an excellent education.
We are excited to announce, that Teach For Armenia has established a strong partnership with the UWC Dilijan International School, securing free accommodation for our Fellows and Team. This partnership allows us to utilize the saved funds for better equipment and snacks for the students. We are very grateful for this opportunity and support.
We have also identified 4 partner public schools in underserved areas of Dilijan that we will be recruiting students from to attend Summer Institute. While we have already secured partnerships with key organizations in Dilijan, Teach For Armenia is actively continuing to expand its scope of work through diverse public institutions in the overall Tavush region. This is important for us as it ensures that the best existing resources are being integrated as key components of our Summer Institute to ensure relevance for the educational needs of the region, as well as our students and Fellows.
Teach For Armenia is also working with two volunteer organizations – Birthright Armenia and the Armenian Volunteer Corps – to recruit a volunteer support team to help with our Summer Institute operations, engaging it’s efficiency and effectiveness for both our Fellows and the students we are teaching.
The Teach For Armenia Team is currently working on securing the remaining funds to ensure Summer Institute is running at its most effective level. The funds raised through the generous donations during our GlobalGiving campaign are fundamental to the success of our efforts.
We would also like to take a moment to remind you that our Project is still open on GlobalGiving and that we would welcome additional support, big or small. Every donation brings us a step closer to ensuring that children in Armenia have the opportunity to unlock their full potential!
