The Panna Vidhi Foundation will empower at least 200 conflict-affected youth in Myanmar through training in peace education, conflict transformation, and reconciliation. Building on its track record of supporting over 2,500 undergraduate and master's students from hard-to-reach conflict areas, the initiative will equip youth to continue their education, engage in peacebuilding, and pursue new livelihoods, building the confidence and leadership skills to advocate for change of Myanmar's future.
The people of Myanmar have endured years of armed conflict and instability, worsened by the 2021 military coup and COVID-19, which severely weakened education and community support systems. As of June 2026, 12 of 15 states and regions are conflict-affected, with 3.6 million people internally displaced. Ongoing violence, displacement, and economic hardship have severely limited access to education, particularly in conflict zones, yet demand for human rights education and accessible learning.
The Panna Vidhi Foundation will provide at least 200 vulnerable youth with peace education, conflict resolution skills, and practical training to address challenges peacefully and support their communities, alongside digital literacy, communication, and job-ready skills to pursue higher education, scholarships, or work with NGOs and community initiatives. To overcome power outages and internet limitations, the project will offer stipends and deliver classes via a mobile-friendly online platform.
PV Foundation is helping Myanmar's youth and future generations gain the knowledge, skills, and trust needed to overcome conflict and build lasting peace. Through peace education and mutual understanding, it will promote community-led solutions for sustainable peace and enable vulnerable youth to access education, develop new skills, and create better livelihood opportunities. In the long term, these young people will become leaders and advocates, supporting war-affected Myanmar communities.
