FOWAC through support from its donors, driven by GlobalGiving, secured support to 39 girls out of 150 proposed targets to acquire basic scholastic materials for them to return to school. The 39 identified girls were provided uniforms, books, school dues, laundry and hygiene and sanitation equipment.
We are hopeful to meet our target, ,FOWAC appreciate its generous donors and GlobalGiving who dedicated what they have to make a difference in the lives of 39 Orphans and Vulnerable girls in the three schools in Kitgum- (wigweng, Akobi and gweng pa mon primary schools).
As school began, many more girls have not managed to go back to school. This is because they cannot meet demands set by schools, others could not go back to school because they have been forced into marriage and unwanted pregnancy. These are the situations among girls FOWC continue to battle within the community.
