This project will build the digital literacy skills of 76 school teachers from 11 rural primary schools in Cambodia by providing training, classroom support and equipment, enabling 1,668 children to receive a better education
All children have the right to an education, whatever their circumstances. Yet in Cambodia, 97% of students do not achieve basic proficiency in Khmer language and mathematics by age fifteen. In rural primary schools, nearly half of the children across the country share textbooks, and digital resources are not widely used. Large class sizes disrupt the engagement of children and the provision of differentiated learning to promote inclusive education.
SeeBeyondBorders has developed a low-cost solution that improves teaching and learning in rural Cambodian primary schools by embedding educational technology into teaching practices and the school system. We will equip teachers with tablets that house our quality, contextual educational resources for teaching maths and literacy. Through training and support, teachers will improve their digital literacy skills to use technology to improve classroom engagement and learning outcomes effectively.
Your valuable contribution will provide vital resources to support teachers in Cambodia to access cutting-edge educational technology to enhance education in 11 schools. Overall 76 teachers will be able to provide a better quality education to increase engagement and enhance learning for 1,668 children.
